Real Time Location Tracking in Healthcare. It’s almost like indoor GPS, with added benefits
Clive Flashman, Global Healthcare Industry Strategist, CSC
Clive will explain how CSC is looking to implement Real Time Location Tracking in hospitals, as well as the potential use cases for patients, staff and organisations, and how this builds into a much wider springboard for a digital eHealth strategic programme. Real Time Location Tracking solutions are available from a number of suppliers including Apple (iBeacons), Google (Eddystone) and Samsung (Nearby). These allow Mobile Apps (typically running on both iOS and Android devices) to listen for signals from beacons in the physical world and react accordingly. In essence, this technology allows Mobile Apps to understand their position on a micro-local scale, and deliver hyper-contextual content to patients and staff based on location. The underlying communication technology is Bluetooth Low Energy. Clive will be happy to answer your questions. This topic should be of interest to all health and care stakeholders: Staff, Patients, System Users and System Providers alike.
